2027 Nissan Rogue Hybrid
2027 Nissan Rogue Hybrid
Rear doors that open nearly 90 degrees, five LATCH anchors in the back seat and an electric drive that needs no plug: the 2027 Nissan Rogue Hybrid is built around family routines. This all-new version of Nissan's most popular North American vehicle uses e-POWER, a hybrid system where a 1.5 L turbocharged engine generates electricity and two motors propel the SUV. Standard dual-motor all-wheel drive and 225 horsepower come on every trim. Nissan estimates the SR grade at 6.2 L/100 km combined. The new model also introduces Japanese-inspired styling, larger available screens and an updated ProPILOT Assist. Families shuttling between Barrhaven, Riverside South and the shops along Hunt Club Road get a quiet cabin and one-pedal driving for those short trips. Hunt Club Nissan expects to receive the first SR models in fall 2026 in limited quantities, with SV, SV Premium and Platinum versions to follow in early 2027.
What's new on the 2027 Nissan Rogue Hybrid?
Exterior
Nissan's "Refined and Tough" design brief shows up first in the front fascia. A honeycomb grille wraps around integrated LED headlights, and the available signature running lamps pick up the same hexagon shape in a two-three pattern. From the side, chiselled fenders and character lines give the profile a sense of forward motion. Chrome trim is used sparingly, a decision the designers tied to the SUV's sportier character. Minimum ground clearance is 214 mm or 215 mm, depending on trim.
The body stretches 4,650 mm on a 2,705 mm wheelbase. Wheel sizes are 18 inches for SV and 19 inches for SR and Platinum, each with geometric designs that echo the rest of the vehicle. The rear shows off crisp lines and an available full-width LED tail light that crosses the liftgate. Three new paint colours are offered: Horizon Blue Pearl Metallic, Alpine Metallic and Aurora Dune Pearl. A power liftgate is standard from SR up.
Interior
Usability guided the cabin layout. Designers worked with engineers to keep physical controls for the features drivers use most, so heat, fan and airflow have buttons, and the heated front seats switch on with a single press. Volume adjusts through a wheel below the screen or on the steering wheel. Surfaces are covered in soft-touch materials and stitching, with matte finishes in high-touch spots. The storage area under the front cupholders, a feature owners liked in the 2026 Rogue, returns with a larger opening.
For parents, the second row matters as much as the front. Rear doors swing nearly 90 degrees, giving more room to install car seats, and the five-anchor LATCH setup allows a seat in the centre position. Nissan says the Rogue Hybrid is one of the only SUVs in its class with this arrangement. Zero Gravity seats in front and rear outboard positions help reduce fatigue on longer drives. The cargo hold fits three large suitcases standing upright, offers 880.7 L behind the second row and includes four floor tie-down hooks.
Technology
Entertainment
The SV's 12.3-inch touchscreen supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and SR and Platinum move to a 14.3-inch screen with Google built-in. That system includes Google Maps, Google Assistant, the Play Store and Google Gemini. Rear passengers get two charge-only USB-C ports, while the front row has two more. Remote Engine Start with Intelligent Climate Control comes standard, and a Rear Door Alert reminds drivers to check the back seat. A head-up display and Bose audio with 10 speakers are reserved for Platinum, which also offers multicolour ambient LED lighting.
Safety
Standard safety gear includes Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian, Cyclist and Intersection Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Intelligent Lane Intervention, Blind Spot Warning and Intervention and Rear Cross Traffic Alert. The new Lead Car Departure Notification lets drivers know when the car ahead pulls away. ProPILOT Assist is standard, with Hands-off Traffic Jam Support and Auto Lane Change on SR and Platinum. For parking, those grades add the 3D Enhanced Intelligent Around View Monitor with a see-through view of the vehicle, Front Wide View for tight intersections and Invisible Hood View for lining up wheels at a car wash.
Powertrain
Two electric motors drive the wheels at all times. The front motor contributes 202 horsepower and 243 lb-ft of torque, and the rear motor contributes 134 horsepower and 144 lb-ft, for 225 horsepower of total system output. Standard dual-motor all-wheel drive manages torque front to rear for grip and stability. The e-Pedal function slows the vehicle to a full stop when the driver lifts off the accelerator, and Smooth Stop softens the end of each stop. Six drive modes include Off-Road and Snow, and towing capacity is 680 kg (1,500 lbs) when properly equipped.
